This English Speaking Society is a pro bono activity originally established and organised by Office KTK some 20 years ago in bid to beef up English literacy and proficiency of local people around this area.    

​

Whoever wishing to have a small talk in English will be equally welcomed regardless of nationalities, age or language proficiency.

When and Where will ESS be held?

​

Our regular meetings are usually held here at Onomichi Glocal Labo four times a month scheduled as follows :

​

• 2nd and 4th Thursday  from 10:30a.m. till Noon (90mins)

• 1st and 3rd Saturday    from 7p.m. till 8:30p.m. (90mins)

​

Once become a regular member, you will be asked to contribute JPY1,000 a month which is spent for cost & expenses so as to run the society. However, if you fail to show up an entire month for some reason, you shall be exempted from paying it for that month.

​

What do we discuss in the meetings?

 

Discussion topic is picked by one of the regular members and distributed to other members via E-mail prior to the meeting.
